Role Overview
The Chambers Federation is a family-run, impact investment and entrepreneurial incubation firm that invests in talented entrepreneurs working to drive social change and innovation, primarily in Sub-Saharan Africa. We are seeking an HR Consultant for a 3-month in-office engagement to review, refine, and implement structured HR processes and accountability mechanisms.
Key Responsibilities
Review & Refine HR Materials
Review current HR policies, contracts, templates, and procedures to identify missing clauses or outdated information.
Revise and update materials to ensure clarity, completeness, and compliance.
Organize HR files and documentation into a structured system and ensure employee records are accurate.
Enforce consistent application of HR processes across the organization.
HR Administration
Manage the full onboarding and offboarding cycle.
Maintain personnel files and administer leave tracking.
Prepare contracts, letters, and standard HR documentation.
Professionally address routine HR queries from staff.
Recruitment Coordination
Review and refine job descriptions.
Post vacancies, screen applications, and coordinate interviews.
Maintain recruitment trackers and documentation.
Prepare onboarding materials for new hires.
Accountability & Incentivization Mechanisms
Assess current role clarity, performance tracking, and accountability gaps.
