We are looking for a dynamic and results-driven Sales Manager to join our team in Nairobi. This role is ideal for a professional with strong market development skills and experience managing sales across international regions, offering a great opportunity to grow with an international brand.
Key Responsibilities
Market Development & Channel Expansion
- Develop new international markets through frequent field visits, identifying and onboarding importers, distributors, and key project clients.
- Build and implement a localized, tiered distribution network to strengthen market penetration and coverage.
- Led brand-building initiatives, driving visibility and growth for key product lines, including Frencia.
Sales Strategy & Execution
- Set and deliver annual and quarterly sales targets across multiple export markets.
- Adapt pricing and promotional strategies based on tariffs, currency fluctuations, and the competitive landscape.
- Drive revenue growth by aligning sales plans with regional market dynamics and customer needs.
Order & Trade Operations Management
- Manage end-to-end export order processes, including documentation, logistics coordination, customs clearance, and cross-border payments.
- Ensure timely delivery while maintaining compliance with international trade regulations and financial security standards.
Client Relationship & Risk Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors, importers, and key accounts.
- Implement credit control and risk mitigation strategies to safeguard international transactions and reduce exposure.
Team Leadership & Execution
- Manage and coach local sales teams and distributor sales forces to ensure effective execution of company strategies.
- Provide training and performance guidance to improve market responsiveness and sales capability.
Channel Development & Retail Excellence
- Support distributors in developing standardized retail outlets and showrooms to enhance brand presence.
- Strengthen in-market execution to drive sell-through and long-term brand loyalty.
Requirements and Qualifications
- A Graduate degree (BA/BSc/HND); overseas study experience is an advantage.
- Minimum 3 years of sales experience (experience in tiles, paint, or FMCG is a plus).
- Proficiency in at least two of the following languages: English, French, Arabic.
- Background in International Business, Finance, Sales, or related fields is preferred.
- Strong computer skills.
- Willingness to travel frequently within the region and potentially be based outside Kenya.
