Web Developer

The Web Developer at Skills Geographic Kenya (SGK) is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the company's digital presence, including websites, web applications, and online platforms. This role combines creative design expertise with technical development skills to create engaging, user-friendly, and high-performing web solutions that support business objectives and enhance customer experience.\n\n### Key Responsibilities\n- Creating and implementing functional, responsive websites.\n- Hands-on experience integrating RESTful and/or SOAP APIs.\n- Ensuring high performance and uptime.\n- Creating intuitive user interfaces and experiences.\n- Managing online platforms and transaction systems.\n- Tracking site performance and user behavior.\n- Supporting marketing initiatives through technical solutions.\n- Maintaining the back-end systems.\n- Developing assets for web use.\n- Implementing robust security measures.\n- Providing guidance to team members and clients.\n- Keeping up with trends and managing external providers.\n\n### Requirements and Qualifications\n- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Web Development, Graphic Design, Information Technology, or a related field. A Diploma with extensive experience is also acceptable.\n- A portfolio demonstrating completed projects is mandatory.\n- Minimum of 3 years of experience in web design and development within a busy organization.\n- Experience in the insurance sector is considered an added advantage.\n- Proficiency with Content Management Systems (WordPress, Drupal, Joomla) and e-commerce platforms.\n\n### Salary and Benefits\n- KES 140,000 - 150,000 per month.\n- Plus additional company benefits.\n\n### How to Apply\nSend your application and CV to .
