Role Overview
The DevOps Engineer at Apeiro, a subsidiary of Sirius International Holding, will be responsible for designing, deploying, and managing scalable and secure infrastructure. The role is situated within the Engineering department and reports to the DevOps Lead, with a dotted reporting line to the Senior Engineering Manager. The successful candidate must have strong hands-on expertise in Kubernetes cluster deployment, AWS cloud services, CI/CD pipelines, and automation scripting, contributing to the development of financially sustainable universal health coverage solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Kubernetes Management: Deploy, manage, and maintain Kubernetes clusters, including upgrades, scaling, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
Virtualization: Create and manage Windows and Ubuntu virtual machines.
Automation & CI/CD: Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines using both Jenkins and GitHub Actions; automate infrastructure and application tasks using Python and PowerShell.
Cloud Infrastructure: Manage end-to-end AWS cloud infrastructure, including EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, RDS, EKS, ECS, and Lambda.
Security & Networking: Implement security best practices across infrastructure pipelines and monitoring; configure and manage OpenVPN servers.
Operations: Monitor system and infrastructure health to ensure high availability; document system architecture and operational procedures.
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience
Experience: 5–10 years of hands-on DevOps experience.
OS Management: Experience with Windows and Ubuntu VM management; strong understanding of Linux and networking concepts.
Scripting: Proficiency in Python scripting and PowerShell.
Tools: Experience with Jenkins and GitHub Actions; OpenVPN server creation and management.
Mindset: Security-focused mindset with production experience; strong troubleshooting and documentation skills; ability to work independently in production environments.
Preferred Skills (Good to Have)
Infrastructure as Code: Knowledge of Terraform or CloudFormation.
Monitoring Tools: Familiarity with Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, Fluentbit, and Node Exporter.
Security: Kubernetes security and container security knowledge.
