Job Description
The Makueni County Public Service Board is seeking to recruit three (3) qualified and dedicated individuals for the position of Ward Administrator II. This is a permanent and pensionable position responsible for the coordination and management of administrative functions at the ward level.
Salary Scale
Kshs. 34,420 x 1,300 – 35,720 x 1,380 – 37,100 х 1,390 – 38,490 x 1,460 – 39,950 x 1,470 - 41,420 x 1,470 – 42,890 x 1,520 – 44,410 x 1,710 – 46,120 p.m.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinating, managing, and supervising the general administrative functions in the ward unit.
Ensuring effective service delivery within the ward unit.
Facilitating and coordinating citizen participation in the development of policies and plans and delivery of services.
Liaising with the sub-county administrator and other stakeholders on matters affecting the ward.
Ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory frameworks at the ward level.
Requirements for Appointment
For appointment to this grade, an officer must have:
A Bachelor's degree in any of the following disciplines: Public Administration, Business Administration/Management, Community Development, or any other Social Science from a recognized institution.
Been a resident of the Ward for a minimum period of five (5) years.
Met the requirements of Chapter 6 of the Constitution of Kenya, 2010 (Integrity and Ethics).
A Certificate in computer applications.
Approximately 5 years of relevant experience as per local government standards.

Clearance certificates must be obtained from the following institutions: DCI (CID), Credit Reference Bureau (CRB), Higher Education Loans Board (HELB), Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA), and the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC).
