The SOA Support Engineer will be responsible for the day-to-day operations and management of the Bank's Middleware (Enterprise Service Bus - ESB) system. The successful candidate will ensure high system availability (99.9%), develop integration policies, and manage the Service Oriented Infrastructure (SOI) to support the bank's digital operating model. This involves technical management of TIBCO products and ensuring efficient web services delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Support the Middleware (Enterprise Service Bus-ESB) System day-to-day operations.
Develop policies, processes, and operating procedures around the ESB System.
Define and execute lifecycle management compliance checkpoints and reviews.
Provide technology management of Service Oriented Infrastructure (SOI).
ESB systems support for development, production support, and management of ESB upgrades and implementations.
Assist and guide developers of web services, develop and maintain ESB reference architecture, and assist in the management of the Universal Description, Discovery and Integration (UDDI) services catalog, SOAP and REST, Web-services, and Web Services Description Language (WSDL).
Streamline the process of managing the ESB system uptime of 99.9%, optimum performance and efficient web services delivery.
Analyze requests obtained from business to determine operational problems, define integration requirements, and document solutions.
Develop and manage existing ESB integrations based on business needs.
Provide hands-on Performance Management of TIBCO products (EMS, Business Works, RV, Hawk, and Spotfire).
Manage integrations of TIBCO ESB services to orchestration channels like WebLogic Server, IBM Webspere MQ, and Oracle Tuxedo.
Ensure high availability (99.9%), performance monitoring, tuning, load balancing, and capacity planning.
Mentor and guide teams on the implementation of web services to optimize resource utilization.
Support other systems interfacing with the ESB as allocated.
Requirements and Qualifications
A Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science or related studies.
2-5 years of experience implementing and supporting TIBCO products ranging from TIBCO EMS, Business Works, Rendezvous (RV), Hawk, and Spotfire in development, test, and production environments.
Knowledgeable in the integration to other supporting systems (database, OS and networks) and skilled in configuration and deployment of TIBCO components.
Strong analytical, presentation and troubleshooting skills with the ability to work through own initiative and as part of a team.
Experience with performance monitoring, load balancing, performance tuning/optimization, and load testing.
Ability to independently carry out capacity planning in TIBCO ESB products environments.
