Role Overview
As a Service Engineer, you’ll lead the charge in delivering high-quality service to our customers. From troubleshooting technical issues to supporting our maintenance contract performance, you’ll play a key role in ensuring our equipment and our customer relationships run smoothly. As a part of our Customer Service Operations team, you will be first in the field to maintain food processing and packaging equipment at our customers’ facilities. As someone who prides themselves on getting to the root of the problem, you’ll be part of the mission to keep food production going for hundreds of millions of people in more than 160 countries.
Key Responsibilities
- Travel & On-site Support: Travel to customer sites to perform preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, and installations.
- Technical Issue Management: Analyze technical issues and escalate when needed using standard operating processes.
- Training: Train customer operators if required to ensure optimal machinery usage.
- Efficiency Support: Support production plant efficiency and monitor service contracts to contribute to business development and growth.
- Safety & Standards: Ensure compliance with safety, food quality, and reporting standards. Maintain a clean, safe work environment following OHS and Tetra Pak safety regulations.
- Professionalism: Represent Tetra Pak professionally and contribute ideas for improving customer operations and service delivery.
- Reporting: Write comprehensive site visit reports upon completion of work.
Qualifications and Experience
- Education: An engineering degree in Mechatronics, Instrumentation and Control, Automation, Electronics, Mechanical, Electrical, or related fields.
- Experience: 1-3 years of experience in maintenance, service, or installation within an industrial or manufacturing setting.
- Advantageous: Previous experience in process-oriented manufacturing.
- Certifications: Must have relevant BA/BSc/HND qualifications as specified.
