Proto Energy is seeking a Mechanical Technician to provide superior support for our LPG customers. This role involves installations, conversions, safety audits, and maintenance of equipment to ensure operations run smoothly. The technician is responsible for ensuring all machinery is in good working condition and supports the team in delivering bespoke LPG solutions.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
Maintenance & Refurbishment: Service and refurbish standby spares and equipment to ensure they are ready for utilization.
Preventive Maintenance: Spearhead critical preventive schedules as assigned via the SAP system.
Plant Improvement: Carry out improvement activities within the plant as directed by engineers.
Equipment Analysis: Suggest the replacement of parts and recommend the installation of new equipment and modifications.
Supply Chain Liaison: Liaise with engineers and stores to ensure optimal stock levels of spare parts.
Performance Optimization: Suggest and carry out performance improvement modifications.
Team Management: Assist the supervisor in overseeing the operations of the maintenance section and management of the team.
Other Duties: Perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor or management.

Qualifications and Requirements
Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
Minimum experience of 3 years in a similar role.
Excellent knowledge of mechanical system maintenance.
Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
Skilled in using hand tools.
Strict adherence to health and safety regulations, including consistent use of PPE.
Possession of a valid Certificate of Good Conduct.
Basic computer literacy.
