The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising and coordinating Hatchery activities in the Eggs and Chicks Departments as per Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and based on the Hatchery Supervisors Roster. This role is critical in maintaining the operational efficiency and technical health of the hatchery equipment.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
Supervision: Coordinate activities in the Eggs and Chicks Departments in accordance with SOPs and the Hatchery Supervisors’ Roster.
Hygiene Management: Maintain strict hygiene and biosecurity standards in all assigned work areas to ensure product quality.
Compliance: Ensure full compliance with company SOPs, policies, statutory regulations, and expected professional behaviors at all times, implementing corrective actions where necessary.
Technical Oversight: Monitor and ensure all hatchery machines, specifically Setters and Hatchers, are fully operational and performing optimally.
General Duties: Perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor to support the hatchery's goals.
Educational Qualifications, Experience and Competencies
Education: Diploma or Certificate in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar hatchery or technical environment.
Technical Knowledge: Sound knowledge of Setter and Hatchers machinery.
Interpersonal Skills: Good communication skills and proficiency in English (both written and spoken).
Soft Skills: Computer literate and possess exceptional computational (numerical) skills.
