Agro-Chemical and Food Company Limited (ACFC) is seeking a Senior Production Officer to oversee shift operations and ensure the efficient production of power alcohol and related products. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising personnel, maintaining technical parameters, and ensuring compliance with international quality and safety standards.
Responsibilities
Supervise all shift production works and update production records accurately.
Ensure all stations are adequately manned and operating correctly and efficiently.
Maintain correct operating parameters at all stations and verify station log sheets for accuracy.
Perform and record spot/snap checks, providing technical assistance to operators when necessary.
Manage inventories by ordering chemicals and raw materials for all stations and analyzing consumption reports.
Coordinate and plan for plant repairs and maintenance, reporting significant breakdowns or shutdowns to senior management.
Ensure strict process compliance with ISO 9001:2000 and ISO 22000:2005 standards.
Oversee the timely cleaning and sterilization of plant machinery.
Handle employee disputes and review policy violations, taking appropriate action according to organizational regulations.
Collect and analyze primary data for weekly, monthly, and annual production reports, including steam production and sales.
Conduct daily plant cleanliness inspections and verify all production items received by stores.
Analyze log sheets and operator log books to provide feedback and identify causes of process failure.
Conduct training needs assessments to equip staff with necessary competencies and evaluate performance against set targets.
Requirements
At least four (4) years of relevant work experience.
Bachelor's degree in Food Science and Technology, Analytical Chemistry, Biotechnology, or an equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
Completion of a supervisory course lasting at least two weeks.
Proficiency in computer applications.
Fulfillment of the requirements of Chapter Six (6) of the Constitution of Kenya.
