Job Description
Peponi House is a co-educational day preparatory school for children aged 6 to 13. The School Nurse plays a central role in promoting the health, safety, and wellbeing of all pupils and staff. This includes delivering high‑quality clinical care, supporting the pastoral life of the school, and contributing to the wider ethos of kindness, courage, and community engagement for which Peponi House is known. The nurse also supports early identification of health needs, contributes to safeguarding practice, and promotes health education.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Care: Deliver high‑quality clinical care and first aid to pupils and staff members.
Health Oversight: Support the early identification of health needs within the school community.
Pastoral Support: Contribute to the pastoral life of the school and the wider community ethos.
Safeguarding: Actively participate in and contribute to school safeguarding practices.
Health Education: Promote health education and wellness initiatives among students and staff.
Qualifications and Professional Requirements
Registered Nurse with either a Diploma or a Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
Must possess valid Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
Must hold a current practicing license from the Nursing Council of Kenya.
Evidence of continuous professional development.
Valid certification or training relevant to paediatric first aid and emergency care.
