Job Purpose
The Sales Manager will be responsible for driving room sales, events, and corporate business, building strong client relationships, and promoting the hotel’s products and services to achieve revenue targets.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Identify, develop, and maintain corporate, travel agent, and walk-in clientele to increase hotel revenue.
- Promote and sell hotel products including accommodation, conferencing, events, food and beverage services.
- Conduct sales calls, site inspections, and client visits to prospective and existing customers.
- Prepare and follow up on quotations, contracts, and proposals in line with hotel pricing policies.
- Meet or exceed monthly and annual sales targets.
- Maintain accurate client records, sales reports, and forecasts.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with travel agents, corporate clients, tour operators, and event planners.
- Attend networking events, trade fairs, and promotional activities as required.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback.
- Collaborate with operations, reservations, and finance teams to ensure smooth service delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Handle client inquiries and complaints professionally and ensure timely resolution.
- Ensure compliance with hotel policies, brand standards, and ethical sales practices.
Qualifications and Requirements
Academic Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Sales & Marketing, Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
Professional Experience
- Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in hotel sales, hospitality sales, or a similar role.
- Proven experience in corporate sales, events, or conferencing is an added advantage.

Remuneration / Salary Package
- Gross Salary: KES 70,000 – 100,000 per month
- Salary will be commensurate with experience, skills, and performance
- Attractive commission or incentive structure based on achieved sales targets
