Accor is seeking a Reservations Manager to lead its reservation operations. The primary objective of this role is to maximize overall revenue from all reservation sources through the development and implementation of effective inventory and pricing strategies based on future demand forecasts for all hotel and resort properties. This individual will be a key player in revenue maximization, yield management, and staff development.
Key Responsibilities
- Revenue & Yield Management: Maximize overall revenue and REVPAR from all reservation sources by implementing effective inventory and pricing strategies. Make daily practice of revenue maximization and yield management.
- Operational Oversight: Handle the day-to-day operations of the Reservations Department, including supervising staff engaged in taking, recording, and cancelling reservations.
- Strategic Forecasting: Responsible for both long-term and short-term revenue forecasting and analyzing market data related to customer relationship management.
- Software & Systems: Amplify the functionality of all reservation source software and ensure proper utilization of the Property Management System (PMS) for group allotments and contracts.
- Staff Management: Train, motivate, and develop reservation staff on an ongoing basis. Manage attendance and participate in bringing or relocating employees as needed.
- Client Relations: Identify prospective clients' needs through professional questioning and telephone interactions. Meet with potential or actual hotel clients regarding events and promotions.
- Administrative Duties: Compile monthly market share reports, maintain daily logs, monitor equipment, and ensure proper guest profiling and arrival checks to avoid rebates.
- Inter-departmental Coordination: Assist the Front Office and Credit departments with relevant documentation and coordinate with the Sales department on room allotments.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Education: A Bachelor's Degree in Hotel Management.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in a similar capacity.
- Language Proficiency: Excellent reading, writing, and oral proficiency in the English language. Knowledge of other local or international languages is an advantage.
- Technical Skills: Good working knowledge of MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Professionalism: High degree of professionalism with sound human resources management and business acumen capabilities.
