Pastry Chef de Partie

Role Overview

The Pastry Chef de Partie is responsible for managing the daily operations of the pastry station, focusing on the creation and execution of high-quality pastries, desserts, and baked goods. This role involves assisting the Chef in food preparation, developing new menu items, and ensuring that all culinary outputs meet strict quality and presentation standards. The successful candidate will also play a key role in supervising junior staff and maintaining food safety and sanitation standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Food Preparation & Quality: Create and execute a variety of pastries, desserts, and baked goods. Ensure all orders meet established quality and presentation standards. Assist the Chef in daily food preparation activities.
• Menu Development: Assist in the development of new menu items and participate in menu planning and pricing strategies.
• Operations & Safety: Ensure strict compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations. Maintain a clean and organized pastry station and ensure proper storage and rotation of pastry products.
• Resource Management: Maintain an inventory of pastry ingredients and supplies. Implement portion control and minimize waste to maintain food costs.
• Team Coordination: Coordinate with the culinary team to ensure smooth and timely service and menu cohesion. Train and supervise junior pastry staff.
• Professional Development: Stay current with pastry trends and techniques to ensure modern and innovative offerings.

Qualifications and Requirements

• 2+ years of professional experience as a Chef de Partie, specifically in pastry.
• Degree in Culinary or Hospitality Management.
• Fluency in English (written and spoken).
