Role Overview
The Relationship Manager, Mandera Branch, is responsible for maintaining and growing the existing customer base within the SME Banking and Personal Banking segments. This full-time position requires achieving ambitious growth targets, ensuring enhanced Relationship Management, and maintaining the quality of the lending portfolio at the domicile branch.

Kenya Commercial Bank Limited is registered as a non-operating holding company which started operations as a licensed banking institution with effect from January 1, 2016. The holding company oversees KCB Kenya (incorporated with effect from January 1, 2016) and all KCB's regional units in Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, Burundi, Ethiopia and South Sudan.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and grow the existing SME Banking/ & Personal Banking customers through enhanced Relationship Management.
- Achieve the set growth targets in terms of numbers and values for both SME/ & Personal Banking Liabilities and Assets.
- Grow and Maintain the Biashara Club Portfolio and grow the revenue line.
- Offer superior relationship management to SME & Personal Banking Customers to achieve agreed service levels.
- Prepare SME lending business credit proposals to prudently achieve agreed business targets and facilitate timely draw down of approved facilities.
- Manage and monitor the SME / & Personal Banking Asset designated portfolio at the domicile branch for enhanced quality book.
- Participate in Retail Banking product campaigns and provide leadership for the sales team in cross selling business products.
- Cross-sell other banking products and develop value chain synergies.
Qualifications and Attributes (The Person)
For the above position, the successful applicant should have the following:
Education and Experience:
- University Degree from a recognized institution (BA/BSc/HND).
- At least 4 years of General Banking experience, which must include:
- 1 year Experience in Sales.
- 1 year Experience in Customer Service/Relationship Management.
- 1 year Experience Credit Analysis.
- Demonstrated consistent high performance in role(s) held in the last three years.
Skills and Knowledge:
- Possess sound knowledge of bank products and ability to offer product solutions to business clients.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills with the ability to network and generate new business.
- Excellent sales and client relationship skills.
- Demonstrate sound knowledge of banking business and operations.
