The Regional Talent Development Lead is a strategic role responsible for designing and leading a network-wide professional learning and talent development strategy aligned to PharSchools’ academic model and growth ambitions. This position focuses on creating structured development pathways for educators at all levels, from early-career teachers to senior academic leaders, ensuring long-term organisational sustainability and scale.
Responsibilities
Professional Learning Strategy & Talent Pathways
Design and lead a network-wide professional learning and talent development strategy.
Build structured development pathways for early-career teachers, experienced teachers, aspiring school leaders, and principals.
Strengthen internal talent pipelines and succession planning, particularly for school leadership roles.
Partner with senior leadership to ensure talent development priorities support long-term sustainability.
Teacher Development & Instructional Excellence
Design high-quality professional learning programmes grounded in evidence-based, progressive pedagogy.
Support teachers in continuously improving classroom practice, student-centred instruction, assessment for learning, and differentiated teaching.
Embed a culture of reflective practice and instructional improvement across all schools.
School Leadership & Principals Development
Develop and deliver leadership development programmes for schools’ leadership teams, aspiring principals, and department heads.
Identify coaching needs for principals regarding instructional leadership, performance management, and school culture.
Strengthen leadership readiness and bench strength across the network.
Learning Delivery & Field Enablement
Establish a professional learning model including induction, pre-service, in-service, and ongoing coaching.
Serve as a lead facilitator and coach, delivering in-person and blended learning.
Travel regularly to schools to observe teaching practice, coach staff, and support implementation fidelity.
Strategic Integration & Innovation
Work with the Managing Director and Head of Product & Innovation to align learning with PharSchools’ curriculum and academic products.
Ensure professional learning reflects modern educational trends, including AI-supported learning, facilitation over instruction, and social-emotional learning.
Impact Measurement & Accountability
Design tools and frameworks to measure the impact of professional learning on teaching quality, leadership effectiveness, and student outcomes.
Use data and feedback to continuously refine and improve programmes.
Employer Brand & Partnerships

Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Education is required; a Master's degree is preferred.
5–10+ years of progressive experience in talent acquisition, teacher and school leader development, and employee engagement.
Experience in multi-school networks or educational organisations is preferred.
Must have a successful track record as both a Principal and a Teacher.
Proven experience designing and delivering professional development programs for adult learners.
Experience in teacher recruitment and retention strategies, ideally in African education contexts.
Strong understanding of progressive teaching practices and 21st-century pedagogical frameworks.
