Job Description
The Tharaka Nithi County Public Service Board (CPSB) is seeking to recruit qualified and competent individuals to fill the position of Radiosonographer III (3 Posts). The role involves operating advanced medical imaging equipment to assist in clinical diagnosis while ensuring patient safety, providing psychological support, and maintaining strict data confidentiality.
Responsibilities
Evaluate patients’ medical condition and history to determine the most suitable radiographic technique for diagnosis.
Interact with patients to offer them psychological support and address their concerns regarding an imaging procedure.
Adjust diagnostic equipment to deliver the accurate amount of radiation to patients.
Operate complex medical instruments such as CT scanners, X-ray, ultrasound, and several other imaging devices.
Maintain proper records of patient details, ensuring the confidentiality of sensitive information.
Regularly inspect diagnostic equipment to ensure they are functional and operate efficiently.
Ensure compliance with health and safety guidelines to minimize the risk of exposure to ionizing radiation.
Requirements
Be a Kenyan citizen.
Must have a Diploma in Medical Imaging Sciences or its equivalent from a recognized institution.
Registered with the Kenya Nuclear Regulatory Authority (KNRA).
Valid Practice License.
Relevant working experience is an added advantage.
Excellent computer and communication skills.
