Role Information
AIC Kijabe Hospital is seeking an Oncology Consultant to join our medical team. As a recently classified Level 6B National Tertiary Teaching and Referral Hospital, AIC Kijabe (established in 1915) serves patients from across Kenya and other African countries with a 363-bed capacity. The Oncology Consultant will play a critical role in providing specialized cancer care within our faith-based, multi-specialty facility.
Responsibilities
Provide expert clinical consultation and management for oncology patients.
Collaborate within multidisciplinary care teams to develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans.
Utilize specialized training in medical, clinical, or radiation oncology to deliver high-quality patient outcomes.
Maintain adherence to KMPDC standards and hospital medical ethics.
Engage in the teaching and referral functions of the hospital as a tertiary facility.
Requirements and Qualifications
Education: Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBChB) or equivalent.
Specialization: Fellowship or Masters in Medical Oncology, Clinical Oncology, and/or Radiation Oncology (or equivalent recognized by KMPDC).
Licensing: Must be registered and licensed by the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council (KMPDC).
Certification: Must possess a valid private practice license.
Experience: Demonstrated experience and involvement in multidisciplinary oncology care teams.
