Job Description
The Photocopier Clerk at Amentum is responsible for performing a variety of printing, photocopying, and photographic services to support critical systems and programs of national importance. This role involves operating sophisticated digital reproduction equipment, performing basic machine maintenance, and handling sensitive government and military documentation with the utmost confidentiality.
Key Responsibilities
Perform printing, photocopying, and related services for various materials including manuals, flyers, brochures, pictures, blueprints, topologies, and diagrams.
Produce aerial photos for internal use or operational purposes.
Handle photographic requests such as business cards, passport photos, and official command and officer photographs (MILPERSMAN 1070-180).
Support enlisted special programs by producing photos for Sailor/Junior Sailor of the Quarter/Year, Bluejacket of the Quarter/Year, and other awards.
Manage command photo boards and official biography photos.
Process any other official government photos or printing requests as necessary.
Set up, operate, and maintain photocopy, printing, and digital reproduction equipment to ensure high-quality results.
Adjust machine settings for different sizes, types, and finishes of printed materials while ensuring proper alignment and accuracy.
Troubleshoot and perform basic maintenance on printers, photocopiers, and related equipment.
Utilize computer software for photo editing, layout creation, and content formatting.
Maintain organized records of completed orders, documenting project timelines, materials used, and quantities produced.
Monitor inventory levels and reorder paper, toner, and other printing supplies as required.
Ensure the secure handling and confidentiality of all official military and government-related documents and photos.
Provide excellent customer service to a diverse group of stakeholders regarding their specific printing and photographic needs.
Requirements and Qualifications
Education: High school diploma or equivalent (KCSE).
Experience: 1-3 years of relevant experience in printing, photocopying, or clerical services with a focus on document reproduction and digital media.
Technical Skills: Proficiency with using and maintaining a variety of photocopy machines, printers, and related hardware.
Software Skills: Working knowledge of printing techniques, photo editing software, and document layout applications.
Personal Attributes: Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet strict deadlines.
Communications: Strong communication skills with fluency in English, both written and verbal.
Additional Requirements: Must possess a valid passport (valid for a minimum of one year at the time of hiring) and be able to travel internationally. Must be able to pass contract medical requirements and maintain them for the duration of deployment.
