ActionAid is a leading international charity supporting women and children in extreme poverty. The Philanthropy and Partnerships Fundraising Lead at ActionAid International will drive high-value fundraising from major donors, trusts and foundations, and strategic philanthropic partners. We are looking for a proven and experienced fundraiser with a strong track record of securing major gifts, building senior donor relationships, and developing compelling opportunities for philanthropic investment.
Role Overview
The postholder will work across the federation to unlock new funding opportunities, deepen existing partnerships, and create meaningful donor engagement opportunities, from tailored cultivation moments to donor roundtables and international funder engagement. Working closely with Programme and Policy colleagues, they will shape strong cases for support that inspire confidence and secure significant funding for ActionAid’s mission and long-term ambition.
Responsibilities
Drive high-value fundraising from major donors, trusts, foundations, and strategic philanthropic partners.
Build senior donor relationships and develop compelling opportunities for philanthropic investment.
Work across the federation to unlock new funding opportunities and deepen existing partnerships.
Create meaningful donor engagement opportunities, including tailored cultivation moments, donor roundtables, and international funder engagement.
Collaborate closely with Programme and Policy colleagues to shape strong cases for support.
Secure significant funding for ActionAid’s mission and long-term ambitions.
Requirements and Qualifications
Must possess a BA/BSc/HND qualification.
A strategic, relationship-driven fundraising leader with a multi-year track record of growing financial support from philanthropists and trust and foundation partners.
Strong experience in securing high-value funding and building senior relationships.
Proven track record of developing partnerships that deliver long-term support.
Strong commitment to ActionAid’s values and ethos, including feminist leadership principles.
