The Payroll Tax Associate is a specialized compliance role within the Professional Employer Organization (PEO) industry. You will be responsible for the research, filing, and reconciliation of federal and state payroll taxes in the U.S., ensuring technical accuracy and strict compliance with local, state, and federal authorities. This role is part of Solvo Global's mission to provide exceptional remote talent to U.S. and Canadian businesses.
Main Responsibilities
- Tax Research and Compliance: Analyze legal issues and filing requirements to ensure full compliance with authorities.
- Payment Processing: Execute payroll tax payments and refunds using e-files, batch agent files, and Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT).
- Filing: Prepare and file monthly, quarterly, and annual payroll tax returns.
- Auditing and Verification: Support corporate payment audits and verify data accuracy for compliance.
- Notice Resolution: Analyze and resolve tax notices and discrepancies, maintaining timely updates with tax authorities.
- Customer Support: Provide expert assistance and clarity regarding complex payroll tax inquiries.
Requirements
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience in Payroll or Tax functions.
- Education: BA/BSc/HND qualification in a relevant field.
- Language: Strong English proficiency at Level B2+ or C1.
- Technical Skills: Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Must have excellent attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment with strict legal deadlines.
