AIC Kijabe Hospital is seeking a qualified Accountant Receivables to join their finance team. The hospital, established in 1915, is a faith-based facility sponsored by the Africa Inland Church, Kenya, and is currently classified as a level 6B National Tertiary Teaching and Referral Hospital. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing accounts receivable, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and overseeing reconciliation processes within the hospital setting. This role involves working closely with hospital billing systems and managing insurance claim processes to ensure the financial health of the institution.
Responsibilities
Oversee and manage the accounts receivable ledger.
Perform regular reconciliations of patient accounts and insurance payments.
Generate and analyze financial reports related to receivables.
Monitor billing systems to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
Coordinate with insurance providers to facilitate the settlement of claims.
Maintain accurate records for auditing and financial review purposes.
Requirements and Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field from a recognized institution.
Professional Certification: Must be a CPA/CCP finalist.
Experience: Minimum of five (5) years of relevant work experience, preferably in a related field (healthcare/hospital experience is highly desirable).
Technical Proficiency: Demonstrated proficiency in financial reporting and reconciliation.
Specialized Knowledge: Knowledge of hospital billing systems and insurance claim processes.
