The Medical Engineering Technologist will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of medical equipment, plants, and furniture within the county's health facilities. This role ensures that all medical instruments are in optimal working condition to support healthcare delivery.
Responsibilities
Undertake preventive maintenance and repairs of medical/hospital equipment, plants, instruments, and furniture.
Requisition for spare parts and consumables.
Maintain an inventory of medical/hospital equipment, furniture, and plants.
Collect information for research purposes.
Collect and input medical engineering services data into the Integrated Health Information Management System.
Carry out minor repairs of health facilities and utilities.
Implement medical engineering programs and projects.
Requirements
Diploma in Medical Engineering or an equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
Certificate in computer application skills from a recognized institution.
