Manager, Faculty Development

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Planning: Develop and implement long-term faculty development strategies that align with the university's institutional goals.
• Mentorship & Coaching: Lead faculty mentorship programs and provide individualized coaching to improve overall teaching effectiveness.
• Pedagogical Guidance: Advise faculty on pedagogical best practices, active learning strategies, and techniques for increasing student engagement.
• Program Evaluation: Utilize data, faculty feedback, and industry best practices to evaluate and improve faculty development initiatives.
• Workshop Facilitation: Design and lead impactful workshops focused on innovative teaching methods, curriculum design, and assessment strategies.
• Policy Contribution: Participate in the creation of institutional policies regarding faculty teaching and learning standards.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with academic leadership, deans, and various faculty committees to drive teaching and learning initiatives.
• Instructional Technology: Support faculty members in adopting and integrating new instructional technologies and digital teaching tools into their workflows.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Education: Doctoral degree (Ph.D. or Ed.D.) in Education, Instructional Design, Higher Education Leadership, or a related field. Candidates with a Master’s degree will be considered if accompanied by extensive, directly relevant experience.
• Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in faculty development, instructional design, or academic training within a higher education setting.
• Subject Matter Expertise: Strong knowledge of teaching and learning best practices, curriculum design, and faculty mentoring.
• Leadership: Proven experience leading institution-wide faculty development programs.
• Analytical Skills: Demonstrated ability to use data and assessment tools to measure the impact of development initiatives.
• Technical Proficiency: High proficiency in learning management systems (LMS), educational technologies, and digital learning platforms.
