The successful candidate will report to the Dean of the School of Science and Technology (SST) and will be responsible for teaching, conducting research, and engaging in service performance within the university. This role involves academic leadership in Electrical Engineering and Digital Electronics at both undergraduate and graduate levels.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach at undergraduate and graduate levels in the specific areas of Electrical Engineering and Digital Electronics.
- Support and mentor students in their career endeavors and academic progress.
- Participate in curriculum development activities to ensure that programs are up-to-date and marketable.
- Participate in program assessment and reviews to maintain high academic standards.
- Supervise students’ research including projects, theses, and dissertations at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
- Engage in active research in one’s area of expertise and contribute to scholarly literature.
- Engage in service to the University, the profession, and the community.
- Perform any other duties as may be assigned from time to time by the Dean or University leadership.
Requirements and Qualifications
- A Ph.D. or equivalent degree qualification in Electrical Engineering, Digital Electronics, or a relevant area from an accredited University.
- At least 3 years of teaching and/or research experience at the university level as a Lecturer or Research Fellow.
- A minimum of thirty-two (32) publication points as a Lecturer/Research Fellow as per the CUE Standards & Guidelines (2014), of which at least twenty-four (24) should be from refereed scholarly journals.
- Proven record of supervising at least four (4) postgraduate students to completion as a Lecturer or Research Fellow.
- Must be registered by the relevant professional body, where applicable.

- Excellent communication, presentation, and research writing skills.
