Job Description
The Commission on Administrative Justice (CAJ), also known as the Office of the Ombudsman, is a Constitutional Commission established under Article 59 (4) and Chapter Fifteen of the Constitution and the Commission on Administrative Justice Act, 2011. The Commission is looking for a Legal Intern to support its operations at the Kajiado Huduma Centre. This role involves assisting the Commission in investigating conduct in state affairs or any act or omission in public administration.
Duties and Responsibilities
Complainant Screening: Screening of complainants to determine the nature of their grievances.
Complaint Handling: Assisting in handling public complaints and the provision of legal advice.
Legal Research: Assisting in conducting legal research on matters relating to administrative justice and other legal issues.
Reporting: Compiling reports and collating data for the preparation of briefs.
General Support: Performing any other duties as assigned by the Commission from time to time.
Requirements and Qualifications
Education: Must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB) from a recognized institution.
