The successful candidate will report to the Dean of the School of Science and Technology (SST) and will be responsible for teaching, research, and service performance within the department.
Key Responsibilities
Teach at undergraduate and graduate levels in the specific areas of specialization including Robotics and System Automation.
Support and mentor students in their academic and career endeavors.
Participate in curriculum development activities to ensure that the programs remain up-to-date and marketable.
Participate in program assessments and reviews.
Supervise students' research projects, theses, and dissertations at both undergraduate and graduate levels.
Engage in original research within the area of expertise.
Provide service to the University, the profession, and the community.
Perform any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
Qualifications and Experience
Applicants must meet one of the following sets of criteria:
Category A (PhD Entry):
An earned PhD or equivalent degree qualification in the relevant field from an accredited and recognized university.
Registration (or eligibility for registration) with the relevant professional body.
Category B (Master's Entry):
A Master's degree in related areas from an accredited university.
A minimum of 3 years' experience in teaching and/or industrial experience in the relevant field.
A minimum of twenty-four (24) publication points as per the CUE Standards & Guidelines (2014), with at least sixteen (16) points from refereed scholarly journal papers.
Active registration for a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) or equivalent Doctoral degree qualification.
Registration with the relevant professional body.
