As a member of the Integrated Health Team servicing International Organisations, you will be part of the CARE team—a group of non-clinically trained staff working alongside global units in Antwerp, Madrid, Kuala Lumpur, Bangalore, Singapore, Greenock, and Nairobi.
Role Overview
You are responsible for the timely sending of all Guarantees of Payments (GOP). A Guarantee of Payment is a confirmation provided to hospitals regarding the length of admission, treatment, and insured amount. This role involves administrative monitoring, medical review coordination, and extensive international communication.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze requests for medical treatments and hospitalizations.
- Verify patient's extent of cover, provider relationships, necessity for medical review, and costs.
- Monitor case files from an administrative perspective in close cooperation with Care Coordinators and Case Managers.
- Act as the focal point of contact for hospitals regarding inquiries related to the Guarantee of Payment.
- Maintain frequent contact with international medical providers and insured individuals, mainly by phone and email, to obtain necessary information.
- Translate and interpret medical and other relevant documents for case analysis.
- Maintain accurate workflow and process documentation following outlined processes.
- Work independently and effectively to communicate with internal and external customers.
Working Hours
- This is a night shift position with working hours from 03:00 PM to 01:00 AM (Kenya time), 5 days a week.
- Flexibility to work on Saturdays and Sundays on a rotational basis is required.
Requirements & Profile
- Education: BA/BSc/HND qualification.
- Languages: Fluency in English (both spoken and written) is mandatory. Proficiency in additional languages such as French, Spanish, or German is required.
- Skills: Customer-focused, disciplined, and computer-literate (ability to learn in-house systems and use office applications).
- Attributes: Analytical mind, ability to work independently, accuracy under pressure, and strong teamwork skills.
- Experience: Prior experience in a medical environment is an added advantage but not strictly required.
