The Sacco Bancassurance Officer plays a crucial role in bridging cooperative financial services with insurance solutions. The role involves managing the intersection of banking and insurance by marketing products to Sacco members and ensuring efficient delivery of insurance services.\n\n### Roles & Responsibilities\n- Market and sell insurance products to Sacco members in collaboration with partner insurance companies.\n- Educate members and staff on available insurance products and benefits.\n- Source new insurance business and grow the Sacco’s insurance portfolio.\n- Handle insurance documentation, policy issuance, renewals, and endorsements.\n- Assist members in claims processing and follow-up to ensure timely settlement.\n- Maintain accurate records of insurance sales, premiums, and commissions.\n- Ensure compliance with Insurance Regulatory Authority (IRA) guidelines and Sacco policies.\n- Prepare periodic performance reports on bancassurance activities.\n- Build and maintain strong relationships with insurance partners and Sacco members.\n- Promote a culture of accountability, integrity, and continuous improvement within the Sacco.\n\n### Minimum Qualifications\n- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Insurance, Marketing, or a related field.\n- Professional qualification in insurance (ACII, AIIK, or COP) is a MUST.\n- A diploma in insurance is considered an added advantage.\n- At least two years’ experience in bancassurance, insurance sales, or financial services.\n- Valid IRA certification/licensing is an added advantage.\n- Computer literacy and familiarity with core banking systems is desirable.\n- High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail.\n\n### Key Skills and Competencies\n- Strong sales, marketing, and negotiation skills.\n- Excellent communication and customer service skills.\n- Proven ability to conduct risk-based audits and internal control reviews.\n- High level of integrity, independence, and ethical conduct.\n- Excellent analytical, report-writing, and presentation skills.\n- Good understanding of ICT systems and automated SACCO environments.\n- Result-oriented and self-motivated.\n- Ability to work independently and under minimal supervision.\n- Sound financial management and organizational leadership skills.\n\n### How to Apply\nInterested and qualified candidates should apply via the Co-operative Bank of Kenya recruitment portal or website.
