Role Overview
Rio Fish is a social enterprise providing sustainable livelihoods and increasing food security through strengthening market systems around aquaculture in Lake Victoria. By practicing aquaculture, Rio Fish provides a consistent supply of nutrient-rich fish as well as stable livelihoods for fish farmers.
The Human Resource Officer will be responsible for managing all human resource functions within the organization, ensuring alignment with Kenyan labor laws and supporting the growth of the team, particularly within the agribusiness and SME context.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the end-to-end recruitment, selection, and onboarding process for new staff.
Ensure the company remains in full compliance with Kenyan labor laws and employment regulations.
Maintain high standards of integrity and confidentiality in all HR dealings.
Facilitate employee relations and manage performance review cycles.
Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation.
Support the development and implementation of organizational HR policies and procedures.
Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management or a related field.
3+ years' professional HR experience, preferably within agribusiness or SMEs.
Strong, up-to-date knowledge of Kenyan labor laws.
High integrity, confidentiality, and excellent interpersonal skills.
