Dental Surgeon, Gigiri Executive Clinic

• Examine, diagnose, and treat general oral diseases and carry out emergency dental procedures.
• Counsel patients on oral hygiene instructions and demonstrate techniques to achieve optimal oral health.
• Perform rotary endodontics and fixed prosthetic works, including ceramic crowns, bridges, and veneers.
• Record care provided in the electronic health record (EHR) system accurately and completely, reflecting the nature of the contact, the patient's condition, and the treatment provided.
• Complete referrals, data collection instruments, and other records or documents as required.
• Liaise with Consultants on adequate referrals and follow-up on specialized cases.
• Supervise dental auxiliary staff to ensure the application of proper techniques and update staff on new practices and procedures.
• Follow policies and procedures stipulated by JCIA and SafeCare guidelines for patient care to formulate best practice guidelines.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS).
• Valid registration by the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentist Board.
• Valid Certificate in Basic Life Support (BLS).
• At least 2 years of relevant experience in general dentistry.
• Preferable certification in Rotary Endodontics and Fixed Prosthodontics.
• Experience in the implementation of quality and patient safety programs.
