Role Overview
The Country Catering Manager for Braeburn Schools (Kenya) is a leadership role responsible for owning and integrating all facets of strategic catering, nutritional excellence, and operational standards. As a key technical lead, the incumbent will develop and deploy a unified, company-wide catering strategy that ensures high-quality, nutritious, and cost-effective dining experiences across all day and boarding facilities.
This position acts as a relentless catalyst for change, driving the "good to great" agenda by consistently pushing for higher standards and tangible improvements across the board. The Country Catering Manager will oversee all culinary operations, from standardizing menus and hygiene protocols to conducting quality audits. The role demands a highly collaborative leader who can work closely with the Chief Operations Officer (COO), School Catering Managers, and Heads of Schools.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and deploy a unified, company-wide catering strategy.
Ensure high-quality, nutritious, and cost-effective dining experiences across all day and boarding facilities.
Act as a technical lead to drive higher standards and tangible improvements.
Oversee all culinary operations including the standardization of menus and hygiene protocols.
Conduct rigorous quality audits to ensure food quality and cost-effectiveness.
Foster a culture of bold culinary innovation and disciplined financial stewardship.
Lead a multi-functional team to make a measurable difference in student health and well-being.
Ensure absolute compliance with national health and safety regulations.
Manage strategic vendor relationships and guarantee service consistency.
Requirements and Qualifications
BA/BSc/HND qualification in a relevant field.
Proven leadership experience in a senior catering or culinary management role.
Technical expertise in strategic catering and nutritional excellence.
Strong expertise in conducting quality audits and maintaining hygiene standards.
Experience in managing financial budgets and vendor relationships.
Excellent collaborative skills to work across multi-campus environments.
