CIC Insurance Group Limited (CIC Group) is a leading insurance and investment group operating in Kenya, Uganda, South Sudan, and Malawi. We are looking for energetic and self-driven Community Outreach Officers to join our team in Machakos. The primary objective of this role is to drive growth by identifying and recruiting new clients and strategic partners while enhancing community awareness of our insurance products.
Key Responsibilities
Lead Generation & Prospecting: Identify and recruit new clients and intermediaries including cooperatives, Microfinance Institutions (MFIs), registered groups, and bancassurance partners. Focus on reactivating dormant accounts and expanding CIC’s outreach channels.
Client & Partner Engagement: Conduct community sensitization programs, product presentations, and training sessions for clients and intermediaries to drive awareness and product uptake.
Sales Support & Administration: Prepare professional proposals and quotations, follow up on leads, and track sales pipelines. Collaborate closely with underwriting and customer service teams to ensure smooth client onboarding.
Market Intelligence: Gather and share insights regarding market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to support continuous product improvement.
Target Achievement: Consistently achieve individual and team sales targets while upholding CIC’s brand values, ensuring customer satisfaction, and maintaining policy persistency.
Requirements and Qualifications
Education: Minimum of a Diploma in a business-related field. A Bachelor’s degree is desirable.
Professional Certification: Professional qualifications in Insurance (COP/ECOP/Diploma in Insurance – AIIK/CII/LOMA) are an added advantage.
Experience: Proven experience in community engagement, sales, or field mobilization will be an advantage.
Age: Candidates must be 25 years and above.
Soft Skills: Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills; strong negotiation and problem-solving abilities.
