CIC Insurance Group Limited, a leading insurance and investment group operating in Kenya, Uganda, South Sudan, and Malawi, is seeking Community Outreach Officers for its Kisii branch. The primary objective of this role is to drive business growth within the region through proactive client acquisition and the management of strategic partnerships. The role involves identifying new market opportunities, engaging with community-based groups, and ensuring that CIC’s insurance products are well-represented and understood by potential clients.
Key Responsibilities
Lead Generation & Prospecting: Identify and recruit new clients and intermediaries including cooperatives, MFIs, registered groups, and bancassurance partners. Reactivate dormant accounts and expand outreach channels.
Client & Partner Engagement: Conduct community sensitization sessions, deliver product presentations, and provide training for clients and intermediaries to drive brand awareness and increase product uptake.
Sales Support & Administration: Prepare professional proposals and quotations, follow up on leads, and track sales pipelines. Collaborate with underwriting and customer service teams to facilitate smooth client onboarding.
Market Intelligence: Gather and share insights regarding market trends, evolving customer needs, and competitor activities to assist in continuous product improvement.
Target Achievement: Consistently meet or exceed individual and team sales targets while maintaining high standards of customer satisfaction and policy persistency.
Requirements and Qualifications
Education: Minimum of a Diploma in a business-related field. A Bachelor’s degree is desirable.
Professional Certifications: Professional qualifications in Insurance such as COP, ECOP, or Diploma in Insurance (AIIK/CII/LOMA) are an added advantage.
Experience: Proven experience in community engagement, sales, or field mobilization is highly beneficial.
Age: Candidates must be aged 25 years and above.
Skills: Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills; strong negotiation and problem-solving abilities.
