
Nairobi Rivers Commission (NRC)
The Nairobi Rivers Commission (NRC) is established through the Environmental Management and Co-ordination Act and the Climate Change Act to protect and reclaim the rivers of Nairobi. The Commission is seeking to recruit 20 Clerk of Works Interns to support its River Regeneration Project Sites. This internship offers practical experience in site supervision and project monitoring within an environmental protection context. Successful candidates will be engaged for a duration of five months (ending June 30th, 2026) and will receive a stipend as per prevailing Government/PSC guidelines.\n\n### Key Responsibilities\n* Assist in daily site supervision and monitoring of river regeneration activities.\n* Document environmental and safety compliance at project sites.\n* Track project progress and participate in site inspections.\n* Support technical teams in ensuring project standards and timelines are met.\n\n### Requirements for Appointment\n* Be a Kenyan Citizen.\n* Have graduated in the year 2019 or later.\n* Hold a Degree or Diploma from a recognized institution in Civil Engineering, Building Construction / Construction Management, Environmental Engineering / Environmental Studies, Information Communication Technology (ICT) or related field, or Accounts and Finance.\n* Be proficient in computer applications.\n* Possess strong communication and teamwork skills.\n* Be physically and mentally prepared to work under field conditions.\n* Applicants living within the Nairobi River Corridors will have an added advantage.\n\n### How to Apply\nInterested and qualified candidates are requested to submit their applications via email to and must also complete the online application form available at .
