Call for Mentors at Generation Kenya

Generation Kenya seeks passionate volunteer retail professionals to serve as Mentors for graduates of their new Retail Sales Associate Program. Generation aims to transform education-to-employment systems to prepare, place, and support people into life-changing careers that would otherwise be inaccessible.

This is a virtual mentorship opportunity, designed for professionals currently working in the retail sector to guide new graduates.

Role Requirements and Profile

We are specifically calling retail professionals currently working in roles such as:

Line attendants
Sales associates
Cashiers
Merchandisers
Operations managers
Restaurant managers
Stewards, Waiters, Waitresses
Stock controllers
Data clerks
Team leaders

Mentors will commit to a 3-month period, involving only six sessions. The core purpose is to be the reason someone succeeds at work by providing guidance and sharing professional experience.

Commitment Details

Type: Virtual Mentorship (Volunteer)
Duration: 3 months
Sessions: 6 sessions only
Reporting: Simple reporting required via Google Form
Support/Compensation: Airtime support provided after each session
Recognition: Certificate provided after completion

Qualifications and Experience

Qualification: Diploma
Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience in a relevant field
