The National Youth Service (NYS) is seeking to recruit four (4) Cadet Officers as Veterinary Officers. The NYS is a premier agency through which the Kenyan Government executes youth empowerment plans. These positions are permanent and pensionable, and successful candidates will be required to undergo mandatory paramilitary training.

Salary and Allowances: As existing in the NYS salary scale.
Medical Cover: SHA Scheme of Civil Servants.

General Requirements
All prospective candidates must meet the following criteria:
Be a Kenyan citizen.
Must possess a Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum KCSE grade of C+ (plus).
Be in possession of a valid Kenyan National Identity Card (ID) and KRA PIN Certificate.
Be between 18 – 28 years of age.
Have no criminal record.
Must be medically fit.
Successful candidates MUST undergo NYS Paramilitary training for nine (9) months at NYS Training College.
Must have a certificate in computer application skills from a recognized institution.
Meet the requirements of Chapter six (6) of the Constitution of Kenya.
Minimum Academic and Professional Qualifications
Must have a Bachelor of Science degree in Veterinary Medicine from a recognized institution.
Must possess a valid Certificate of registration by the Kenya Veterinary Board (KVB).
