Role Overview
CDL Human Resource is seeking a highly experienced Branch Manager for its Financial Services division based in Mombasa. The role is responsible for driving business growth, overseeing daily operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, and leading the branch team to achieve financial and service targets.
Key Responsibilities
Business Growth & Financial Management
- Develop and implement branch growth plans for both deposits and lending.
- Achieve revenue, profitability, and collection targets.
- Maximize income streams and proactively prevent revenue leakage.
- Prepare, monitor, and manage branch budgets and operational costs.
Operations & Compliance
- Oversee daily branch operations including opening, closing, and security protocols.
- Ensure full compliance with banking policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Authorize transactions, vouchers, and accounts within set approval limits.
- Maintain safe custody of vaults, cash, loan documents, and records.
- Submit accurate statutory and internal reports in a timely manner.
Customer Experience
- Ensure high-quality customer service delivery across all branch departments.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships.
- Resolve customer escalations and ensure overall service excellence.
People Leadership
- Lead, supervise, coach, and develop branch staff to perform at their best.
- Promote a workplace culture of integrity, accountability, and teamwork.
Risk & Asset Protection
- Safeguard branch assets and implement robust internal controls.
- Act as joint custodian of vaults and cash.
- Ensure total compliance with audit, risk, and governance standards.
Requirements
Academic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in a business-related field (Banking & Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration/Management).
- Master’s Degree is an added advantage.
Experience
- Minimum 10+ years of experience in banking and business management.
- Leadership or management training is considered an advantage.
- Proven track record in branch performance, revenue growth, and staff management.
