Requirements for Appointment
For appointment to this grade, a candidate must meet the following requirements:
Education: Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (M.B.Ch.B) degree from an institution recognized by the Medical Practitioners and Dentists Board.
Registration: Certificate of Registration by the Medical Practitioners and Dentists Board.
Licensing: Possess a current annual retention certificate issued by the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Board.
Experience: Must have served in the grade of Senior Medical Officer for a minimum period of three (3) years.
Training: Must have completed a Senior Management Course lasting not less than four (4) weeks from a recognized institution.
