The Accountant II is responsible for providing financial and administrative support within the receivables, inventory, and retail sections of the organization. This role ensures accurate financial reporting, effective cash flow management, and strict adherence to company policies and statutory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Reconciliation: Reconcile and verify company transactions to ensure accuracy and timely resolution of discrepancies.
Reporting: Prepare periodic financial reports on company performance.
Treasury Support: Assist in treasury operations to support effective cash flow management.
Inventory Oversight: Support inventory management and reconciliation to maintain accurate stock levels.
Credit Control: Assist in managing company debt collection and credit control to ensure proper cash flow and compliance with credit policies.
Accounts Receivable: Support the accounts receivable section by recording incoming payments, reconciling accounts, and following up on outstanding invoices.
Audit Preparation: Prepare schedules and reconciliations for internal and external audits.
Stakeholder Relations: Respond promptly to queries from internal and external stakeholders.
Compliance: Ensure compliance with internal financial control policies and statutory regulatory requirements.
Qualifications and Experience
Experience: 2 to 3 years’ experience in an accounting role.
Secondary Education: MUST have attained KCSE B+ and above.
Higher Education: MUST have attained a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Statistics – Second Upper Class.
Professional Certification: CPA/ACCA minimum Level 2.
Technical Skills: Knowledge of SAP and experience in the Oil and Gas industry is an added advantage.
