Our client in the Telecommunications sector seeks to recruit a Zonal Sales Manager to be based in Mombasa CBD. The Zonal Sales Manager is responsible for selling and managing the distribution of communication products and services (Airtime, SIM Cards, Mobile Financial Services & Devices) to resellers and distributors within the assigned territory. The role requires identifying and facilitating the optimization of opportunities to drive sales as maximally and efficiently as possible within the assigned territory.
Key Responsibilities
Achieve Sales Targets: Deliver assigned sales targets on revenues, airtime, gross additions, data, and devices for both Mobile & MFS within the territory.
Customer Base Acquisition: Achieve customer base targets via strategic acquisition drives.
Channel Management: Drive channel-specific agendas in line with company targets across ASOs, SSOs, and Agencies.
Site Profitability: Achieve site profitability targets within the territory through site-based activities and programs.
Team & Capability Management: Oversee and drive the people capability agenda across all levels including Trade Development Representatives (TDRs), Direct Sales Agents (DSAs), and Commandoes, managing team output to align with business objectives.
Customer Service Standards: Ensure customer expectations regarding standard of services and product knowledge are met in both brand stores and partner stores.
Market Intelligence: Monitor competitive activities and prepare effective counter-action plans.
Reporting: Prepare and submit sales, market, and visibility reports as required.
Visibility and Availability: Ensure partner outlets, trade, and general market visibility, alongside ensuring product and service availability within the market.
Qualifications and Experience
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
Experience: 2 to 3 years of experience in a sales and distribution role within the Telecommunications or FMCG sector.
