Role Overview
We are seeking a professional, customer-focused, and energetic Waiter/Waitress to join a dynamic hospitality team at a 5-star hotel. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, ensuring guests enjoy a pleasant dining experience, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and professionalism within the restaurant environment.
Key Responsibilities
Guest Reception: Welcome and seat guests in a warm and courteous manner.
Menu Knowledge: Present menus and provide detailed information about menu items, beverages, and daily specials.
Order Taking: Take accurate food and drink orders and relay them promptly to the kitchen and bar team.
Service: Serve food and beverages professionally and efficiently.
Guest Satisfaction: Check on guests during meals to ensure satisfaction and address concerns promptly.
Billing: Prepare and present bills, process payments, and issue receipts accurately.
Cleanliness: Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining areas, tables, and service stations.
Setup: Ensure tables are properly set before and after service.
Compliance: Adhere to food safety, hygiene, and health standards at all times.
Problem Resolution: Handle guest complaints professionally and escalate issues when necessary.
Teamwork: Support team members to ensure smooth restaurant operations during busy periods.
Operational Duties: Participate in opening and closing duties as assigned.
Requirements
Education: Certificate or Diploma in Hospitality, Food & Beverage Service, or a related field is an added advantage.
Experience: Minimum 2 years’ experience as a waiter/waitress/server in a hospitality setup.
Mandatory: Experience working in a 5-star hotel is mandatory.
Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with excellent customer service and problem-solving abilities.
Attributes: Professional appearance, positive attitude, and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Availability: Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
Technical: Basic knowledge of POS systems is an added advantage.
