The role of the Tupande Inventory and Data Management Rural Retail Senior Supervisor is critical for maintaining inventory accuracy across Tupande's extensive rural retail network, which comprises over 300 shops. This is a hands-on, delivery-focused position centered on managing inventory counts, resolving system errors, and initiating process improvements throughout the network. You will report directly to the Inventory and Data Management (IDM) Team Coordinator.
Responsibilities
1. Inventory Oversight
- Lead and coordinate physical inventory counts in 1–2 regions.
- Investigate and resolve variances between physical and system records.
- Ensure accurate inventory adjustments following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Recommend process improvements aimed at reducing shrink and enhancing data reliability.
2. System Accuracy and Quality Control
- Correct inventory errors within Odoo and other relevant ERP systems.
- Monitor and resolve Quality Control (QC) flags on non-standard transactions.
- Ensure 100% review and approval of all inventory adjustments and resets.
3. Stakeholder Management
- Collaborate effectively with Duka teams, the Asili department, and other internal stakeholders to guarantee alignment in inventory practices.
- Share reports, detailed variance findings, and regular updates with the IDM Coordinator and relevant teams.
- Support efforts in fraud risk identification and escalate any concerns promptly.
4. Reporting and Performance Tracking
- Track and report on key inventory Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), including shrink rate, transfer accuracy, and reconciliation timelines.
- Maintain comprehensive, audit-ready documentation and contribute to monthly and quarterly performance reviews.

Qualifications
We seek candidates who possess the following specific qualifications:
- A Diploma or Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of relevant experience in inventory operations, retail data management, or supply chain systems.
- Proven experience managing small teams and coordinating activities across different departments.
- Working knowledge of ERP systems such as Odoo, SAP, or Erply (Odoo is preferred).
- Demonstrated excellent stakeholder engagement skills.
- High level of integrity necessary for handling sensitive inventory information.
