The Training and Examination Officer at the Institution of Surveyors of Kenya (ISK) is responsible for managing the professional development and certification lifecycle for landed professionals. The role involves planning, marketing, and administering training programs for members and non-members, as well as coordinating the professional examination process in accordance with institutional regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Planning: Liaise with the Education and Research Committee to develop ISK training and examination timetables. Prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly plans and performance reports.
Training Coordination: Market, administer, and organize training sessions. Maintain accurate training records using automated systems and advise on the procurement of training aids and materials.
Examination Management: Oversee the administration of ISK Professional Examinations, ensuring full compliance with laid-down regulations.
Curriculum Development: Coordinate the creation and continuous review of training materials to ensure they are aligned with the evolving needs of ISK members.
Financial & Data Oversight: Ensure all training and examination fees are paid. Analyze data to provide market intelligence and insights to the ISK Council.
Member Engagement: Ensure the institution's educational programs are revised to meet the specific needs of members.
Qualifications and Experience
A Bachelor’s Degree in Land Surveying (Geospatial/Geomatics Engineering), Real Estate, Land Administration, Education, or a related field from a recognized University.
Minimum of seven (7) years of working experience.
Experience in coordinating training and examinations in a training institution or member-based organization is a significant advantage.
Proficiency in ICT software and e-learning systems is highly desirable.
Current Membership with ISK is an added advantage.
