Missions of Hope International (MOHI) is seeking a Primary School Teacher who will be responsible for teaching while offering holistic development, proper discipline, appropriate skills, and social abilities to enable the optimum development of pupils. The role entails full responsibility for student assessment materials, including report books, evaluation records, registers, and curriculum documentation like schemes of work and lesson notebooks.
Duties and Responsibilities
Curriculum Delivery: Effectively implement the integrated curriculum to meet educational standards.
Progress Monitoring: Monitor, evaluate, and provide detailed reports on student progress.
School Operations: Undertake school weekly duties and manage class-specific co-curricular activities.
Student Welfare: Provide pastoral care, discipline, and guidance and counseling to pupils.
Mentorship: Act as a role model and mentor to fellow teachers and as a guardian to the students.
General Professionalism: Execute any other duties related to the teaching profession as assigned by the administration.
Academic and Professional Qualifications
Education: Minimum of a P1 Certificate from the Kenya National Examination Council (KNEC).
Registration: Must be a registered teacher with the Teachers Service Commission (TSC).
CBC Training: Must have solid training and demonstrable experience in teaching the Competence Based Curriculum (CBC).
Communication: Proficiency in both written and spoken English and Kiswahili.
Technical Skills: Must be technologically savvy and able to use digital tools for instruction.
Mobility: Must be willing to work in any of MOHI’s Centers located across the country.
