This role is for a results-driven Trade Marketing Manager working for an FMCG company in Kenya, recruited through Frank Management Consult Ltd. The successful candidate will be pivotal in developing and executing trade marketing strategies aimed at driving sales growth, strengthening brand presence, and enhancing essential collaboration with distributors and retail partners.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Lead the planning and execution of trade promotions, in-store activations, and merchandising programs to increase sell-through.
- Collaborate closely with sales teams to support channel-focused initiatives and enhance market execution.
- Evaluate market trends, consumer insights, and sales performance data to refine and improve trade marketing strategies.
- Oversee trade marketing budgets and ensure optimal return on investment (ROI).
- Manage the creation, distribution, and deployment of point-of-sale and promotional materials.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with distributors, retailers, and key trade stakeholders.
- Track competitor activities and deliver relevant market intelligence to support decision-making.
- Monitor, assess, and report on the performance and impact of trade marketing campaigns.
Minimum Qualifications and Requirements
- Degree in a business or marketing-related course. An MBA is an added advantage.
- 5+ years of experience in a similar or related role in the FMCG industry.
- Analytical skills – Good at numerical analysis, with the ability to comprehend and derive insights from extensive data.
