Job Description
Stellar Human Resource Solutions is seeking an experienced Tour Consultant on behalf of their client to manage travel inquiries and convert safari bookings. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing bespoke itineraries and ensuring high-quality service for clients visiting East Africa.
Responsibilities and Duties
Respond to travel and safari inquiries promptly and professionally.
Design creative and bespoke safari itineraries tailored to individual client preferences and budgets.
Prepare accurate and competitive quotations for various travel packages.
Convert inquiries into confirmed safari bookings using strong sales and negotiation techniques.
Maintain and update knowledge of various safari destinations, accommodations, and logistics across East Africa (Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda).
Provide expert advice to clients on travel requirements and destination specifics.
Requirements
Education: Diploma or Degree in Tourism, Hospitality, or a related field.
Experience: A minimum of 2+ years of professional experience working within a travel or safari company.
Destination Knowledge: Strong, specialized knowledge of safari destinations in Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda.
Technical Skills: Ability to design safari itineraries and prepare quotations. Experience with travel booking systems is considered an added advantage.
Soft Skills: Strong sales, communication, and negotiation skills.
