Job Description
Nakuru Training Institute (NTI) is a TVET institution situated in Neylan estate in Lanet/Free area. We are looking for a dedicated and experienced School Cook to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the preparation and service of high-quality meals for students and staff within the institution, ensuring adherence to hygiene and sanitation standards.
Responsibilities
Prepare and serve nutritious meals for a large number of students and staff.
Follow and execute the standard Kenyan menu efficiently.
Maintain high standards of hygiene and sanitation in the kitchen and food storage areas.
Participate in food production planning and management.
Reside within the school premises as per the job requirements.
Undergo and pass a practical cooking interview/assessment.
Requirements and Qualifications
Gender: Male.
Age: 30 years and above.
Experience: At least 2 years of experience preparing meals for large groups.
Skills: Conversant with the Kenyan menu and large-scale food production.
Education: Minimum Artisan Certificate in Food Production.
Availability: Must be willing to reside within the school.
