The role of the Toshiba Printers Sales Representative is to drive the promotion and sales of Toshiba multifunction printers (MFPs), copiers, and related print solutions within the Kenyan market. The primary focus includes generating new business opportunities, managing relationships with key accounts, and collaborating effectively with the technical team to ensure exceptional after-sales support.
Key Responsibilities
- Business Development & Lead Generation
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities across sectors including SMEs, corporates, schools, hospitals, Saccos, government institutions, and NGOs.
- Conduct field visits, cold calls, and client presentations to increase Toshiba’s market share in Kenya.
- Sales Presentations & Demonstrations
- Provide professional product demonstrations at client premises or the company showroom.
- Effectively explain Toshiba printer features, reliability, cost-per-page benefits, and print management software capabilities.
- Sales Negotiation & Closure
- Prepare competitive quotations that comply with Kenyan market pricing and taxation (VAT).
- Negotiate terms and close deals while maintaining profitable margins.
- Follow up on Local Purchase Orders (LPOs), contracts, and ensure the timely delivery of machines.
- Client Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to encourage repeat business.
- Conduct periodic meetings to understand customer needs and recommend appropriate upgrades or consumables.
- Coordinate with the service team to ensure smooth installation, training, and after-sales support.
- Market Intelligence
- Monitor competitor brands (such as HP, Kyocera, Canon, Ricoh, Konica Minolta, Sharp, etc.) and regularly share market updates with management.
- Stay informed on industry trends, pricing changes, and best practices within the Kenyan print solutions market.
- Reporting & Administration
- Maintain updated client records, sales pipelines, and visit logs.
- Submit weekly and monthly reports to management.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and Kenyan business regulations.
Qualifications & Experience
- Degree in Sales & Marketing, ICT, Business Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 2–3 years of B2B sales experience. Experience in office automation, ICT equipment, or printers is a strong advantage.
- Strong understanding of Kenya’s procurement processes and tendering systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic CRM tools.
