Role Overview\n\nThe Tender Officer is responsible for leading a team in sourcing for and processing tender and Request for Quote (RFQ) documents and in undertaking all bidding activities, inclusive of pricing, on behalf of Trident Insurance Company Limited (TICL). The incumbent will ensure necessary follow-ups are conducted to obtain feedback on successes and failures in the bidding process. Additionally, the officer will prepare presentations to the Tender Committee and supervise the preparation of tender documents.\n\n### Duties and Responsibilities\n\n* Identifying relevant tenders by gathering information on active tender notifications from various sources.\n* Listing all tenders for which Trident Insurance Company (TICL) qualifies to bid.\n* Preparing written proposals, Request for Quotes (RFQs), financial proposals, and pricing tenders based on gathered intelligence while attaching all relevant documentation.\n* Ensuring all relevant documentation for bid proposals is complete, accurate, and includes all required attachments.\n* Identifying and managing all pre-qualifications and presenting them to management for review and approval.\n* Communicating proposal/tender physical document delivery and costing requirements to meet deadlines while tracking and documenting issues.\n* Downloading tenders into IFMIS as required.\n* Ensuring all technical, commercial, and contractual correspondence with suppliers is addressed and closed out efficiently.\n* Contributing to cost and price calculations.\n* Coordinating tender reviews and deadlines, adjusting them according to the provided frameworks.\n* Striving to attain set annual targeted amounts for medical and non-motor tenders.\n\n### Qualifications and Experience\n\n* Bachelor’s Degree in a Business-related field and a Master’s degree in Business Management from recognized institutions.\n* Professional qualification in insurance (AIIK, ACII, or Diploma – IIK). Professional qualifications in CPA, CFA, ACCA, or ACA.\n* A minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience, specifically within an insurance company.\n* Knowledge of the East Africa regulatory regime for insurers.\n* Good understanding of the Tender Management Process, plus experience in Sales and Marketing or social media marketing.\n* Excellent communication and negotiation skills, both written and spoken.\n* Membership in the Chartered Insurance Institute, Insurance Institute of Kenya, or the Institute of Certified Investments and Financial Analysts (in good standing).\n\n### How to Apply\n\nInterested and qualified candidates should forward their CV to: using the position as the subject of the email.
